First Post!

Wow, I have my very own blog…with my name as the URL…exciting stuff!

I’m new to this whole blogging thing so please bear with me. This will be a work in process for a little while probably.

Just to give you some background info about myself:

My name is Paul Romasco. I graduated from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont in 2011. My degree was in Business Administration. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and when I first arrived at college at 18 years old,  I figured a business degree would give me plenty of useful skills and options after graduation.

I’m not athletic by nature but I always loved the peace I found when lifting weights. In college I discovered the world of bodybuilding and powerlifting so I started tinkering with different training protocols and nutritional approaches. I never was too interested in competing professionally but I certainly loved sharing my passion. I decided to start pursuing certifications in personal training and have thus far been certified by ACSM and will soon be taking the test for NSCA (representing 2 of only 4 accredited programs!)

I stuck around in the greater Burlington area of Vermont and have been training (officially) for over 2 years. I work with people of all ages (youngest client is 13, oldest is 87) and of all different fitness levels. That’s one of my favorite things about training: it’s always different and there’s always more to learn. I offer many different services but I do a fair amount of my training at Shelburne Health & Fitness…one of the warmest, most welcoming athletic clubs I’ve ever experienced!

Well, I’m going to stop there before I turn this into an autobiography. I kind of like having this outlet for all my musings and experiences regarding fitness, nutrition, and healthy living in general. Lord knows my friends and family are sick  of hearing me ramble on about all this stuff! Haha.

Seriously though, I just want to share all my knowledge and passion about health. I spend hours everyday consuming as much information as possible so I would love if others could benefit from it. If I can help one person make one positive change in their life, I’ll be thrilled!
